Kertin Investigative Group draws from the extensive investigative and mortgage backgrounds of its principals to provide a highly efficient tool to combat the emergence of mortgage fraud against lending institutions and their affiliates.

Brian Kertin heads the Company's Mortgage Fraud Investigation operations.

Mr. Kertin possesses extensive experience in the investigation of financial fraud, mortgage fraud, complex white-collar criminal matters, corporate internal investigations, and environmental matters. In addition, he maintains wide-ranging experience in the mortgage industry, both in the loan origination and loan processing arenas.

While employed by a nationally-recognized private investigative firm, Mr. Kertin investigated hundreds of matters involving mortgage and bank fraud, environmental property claims, employee dishonesty, embezzlement, and white collar crime.

Mr. Kertin has investigated dozens of cases involving bank fraud and mortgage fraud. These investigations have uncovered the facts and circumstances of the underlying fraud schemes, and enabled clients to successfully resolve these matters. These cases have involved the exhaustive review of company documentation, loan files, transaction records, civil and criminal case files; and the location and interview borrowers, loan officers and brokers, current and former employees. These investigations have led to the successful resolution of insurance claims and litigation.

Mr. Kertin has also been employed in the mortgage industry for more than seven years, as the owner of a loan processing company and as a Mortgage Broker. During that time, these companies have processed more than 1,500 mortgage files, and have originated hundreds of residential mortgage loans. These files required the review and analysis of complex financial data, including employment information, bank statements, tax returns, title reports, appraisals, and other documents utilized in the loan application process.
